Winter tires and a limited slip differential have been working out great for me and my manual, rear-wheel drive sport sedan. I’m not going to drive a snow beast all year round just for the five or six times it might be marginally better at getting unstuck from the snow, while being quite a bit worse at everything else.

I installed new front struts on my ATS and read the wrong torque spec for the 3 bolts that hold the top hat to the strut tower. I set my wrench to 42 ft/lbs, but the actual spec was like 14 ft/lbs. Snapped that baby right off and had it flat bedded to a shop to have the bolt replaced.
