In the winter I try to fill up at around ¼ to avoid too much condensation in the tank. The rest of the year I’ll take it down to ⅛ or even “empty” if I know I’ll be near a preferred station. I figure less gas in the tank equals less weight which equals better fuel economy. The longer I can go with less gas, the better!
