The truth doesnt matter.
The truth doesnt matter.
It isn’t the radical left; it’s capitalism. She’s hemorrhaging advertisers.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Where it’s always dark and gloomy and the sun doesn’t exist.
I’d say Technique > Size/Strength. I’m sure Hearns is plenty strong, but if you know how to measure distance and throw a punch (and that guy sure seemed like he did), you’re going to do damage if the person doesn’t know how to defend themselves (e.g. not hang out in punching range).
Not to mention if you knock someone out and they get concussed, die, or go into a coma, even if it was somewhat justifiable, you still might get charged, or sued (unless it’s Washington state). Especially since this guy is a well known football player.
I’m a big guy. 6'2", 280 lbs and I hit the gym 4-5 days per week. I never fight anyone. Why? Well #1 because I’m not a violent asshole. But #2, because even if I win, even if I just beat the living shit out of someone, unless they’re part of the like....0.1% of people bigger than me, it’s a bad look. Big guy beats up…
Michael Oher & Mike Remmers sprinted across the street to help their former teammate but were run over by a bus.
One time in high school I saw two football players messing with a regular dude at a party. The regular dude proceeded to beat the living shit out of them at the same time. Not one after the other, at the same time. hospital bad. They even broke a beer bottle over his head before the beating. It was brutal.
that snort when he starts laughing - cracks me up. He so enjoys his own joke.
It should be noted that the dude who knocked him out was not fucking around. He squared up purpose.
Ruthlessness > Size
Where’s that “300 pound guys will wreck anyone in a fight" guy from the Westbrook/jazz article the other day? I need his expert insight here
Check out this one from Louisiana who is suing, claiming she had a breakdown after being rejected from USC and UCLA with a 4.0 GPA and 34 ACT, and then having to settle for Tulane - oh the horror! I hate to break it to her and her mother, but plenty of kids with GPAs above 4.0 (due to AP weighting) and perfect ACTs of…
If you’re from the LA/SoCal area, you’d apply to USC as a safety. It’s not as competitive as Yale, but it admits under 18% of applicants, making it pretty selective.
As a lawyer I hate cases like this because as much as the people involved in the college scam are shit heads, this class case is such bullshit and paints the legal system in a bad light. The only hurt to their rep is going to be when someone Googles their name and discovers that they filed a b.s. class action case.
Is this what it’s like to have so much money and privilege that you have the time and resources to file a lawsuit for some bullshit?? JFC
I’m only halfway through (but read the comics so pretty much know what’s coming) but the biggest flaw I see is the lack of more stylistic directing to match the world they live in (thus somewhat matching the stylized visuals of the comics). You see brief homages to Wes Anderson, but they really should have gone full…
Thanks for the update. The uncertainty was killing us.
Please don’t see this movie.
