I know no one likes Terry Long, but Connor Kent? That's...that's weird. Hell, at least it's not Dick.

No, it's British English. Like dreamt and et (well, that may also be archaic, and just extant in Jamaica for other reasons), and other words I can't think of off the top of my head, because they're normal to me.

Yup. My home Mac is UK enough that Google keeps telling me prices in pounds, yet...the English Opera spellchecks is American. Mac Opera is supposed to have them by default, but somehow problem. I am not allowed to make that change to Opera at work, though.

"The Board's boldest two moves were eliminating the ugh from the end of words like through, and substituting chapt for words like chapped. English readers will notice that these last changes did not happen."

Yeah, that part's not in question. How do you date/be best friends with someone who treats just about everyone else so badly, when you're a pretty decent person (clearly I mean end of S2 Lydia, not start of S1)?

I'm pretty quick to get emotionally involved with stuff. I'll know by the end of an episode if it's going to take an act of god (or network or showrunner betrayal ::shakes fists at Chris Carter::) to detach me from a show. So, I knew:

I know they gave Jackson some background angst, but I don't understand why two wholly worthwhile people like Danny and Lydia like him so much. He was pretty decent to Alison there for a while, but so prickish so much of the rest of the time...how did they get past that?

Off the top of my head I always go to my favourite team, the Titans, and come back with Wonder Girl and Starfire. I don't know what Donna's status is post 52, but Kory's definitely accepting gentlemen callers.

Grandpa Murdertime reminds me of Sampa. Like, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOUR PRIORITIES??? How are you crossing all these lines that define your entire life and your heritage? How can you sell your grandchildren out like this?

Ah, but do you have the fanart to show for it...

Oh, that's Meredith.

It was wiped out for canon. There's pretty damned little done in canon ever that someone didn't do in a fanfic somewhere. It's not just the stuff you don't like. Fanfic isn't a quality indicator—it's a paycheque indicator.

Yeah, I'm vehemently realising my Diana/Bruce bondage phase wasn't just a phase.

Yeah, shame there are no other superpowered women in the DC universe.

That's what I'm wondering (now!) if it means—can you believe the (unlike other of your race) but didn't occur to me until right now? And of course...that's the truly offensive part.

That's no coincidence. Dirt has enough sense to know it don't need chopping.

Haven't they kind of done that with all the straight characters by now?

It takes *so* little research to come to the same conclusion you would if you read the dissection by someone you trust. So, hell, why not? That way you can talk back to the bitchers like above.

One of my best friends told me "I don't see your race when I look at you."
