Actually, if they could somehow reinvent Pepe LePew to be more like the big bad wolf in Tex Avery’s Red Hot Riding Hood shorts - getting immediate comeuppance in cartoonishly insane ways by those he would prey on - I think they could easily reinvent his shorts for modern sensibilities whilst still having a throwback

I would certainly be more concerned about recent gaffes she’s made and the decision to promote her over more experienced people in light of her more recent behavior in regards to ethical journalism. I cannot find any evidence of LGBTQ discrimination, though I don’t doubt they exist - I just haven’t seen it.

I get their desire to do this - I really do - but in execution, it sounds a bit hamfisted. I think it might be best to actually leave the character out or in the background and make a shift in new shorts.

Oh Laika... I have such a strange relationship with them. I like Coraline, I like ParaNorman (I didn’t care for it much initially, but in retrospect that had nothing to do with the film and everything to do with where I was in my personal beliefs), and I like Kubo, but The Boxtrolls was a slog, and Missing Link left

I don’t know if I’d say Hercules was worse than Cats Don’t Dance. I’m a huge fan of the songs in Hercules, though, and while Cats Don’t Dance has some good ones, I don’t think they measure up to the gospel inspired stuff nor the criminally underrated “I Won’t Say I’m In Love.”

I remember the Spy Jam rumor! Jackie Chan would’ve potentially been a great match for the Looney Tunes, though I shudder to imagine the no doubt cringe-inducing ‘90s-era casual racism we would've likely overlooked at the time that would’ve been inserted into the movie...

I took it as a behind the scenes feature, despite the title of the episode, particularly since you not only get background but see the audience seats and lights.

Come to think of it, the character was also the reverse of Kick-Ass, going by the name Ass-Kicker. ... Maybe a hint? Maybe me looking to much into that?

Evan Peters was also in the first Kick-Ass movie, but his character was recast in the second when he joined the villains.

It is what he's used to.

Never heard of it. I’ll... check it out.. maybe?

Like "Sausage Party"...?

I will have to read this later, but my initial reaction to the headline, “The Return Of The King was the last time a blockbuster could be weird, personal, and Best Picture,” immediately brought to mind another Peter Jackson-associated film nominated for Best Picture that was much less expected:

Napalm?

Or or or... hear me out now...

I think he probably meant that jokingly, like maybe now they could retcon that in due to their association with Biehn in this episode. That being said, I kinda always thought it WAS a subtle nod to Terminator, even before this episode, given their personalities and the fact that the Terminator franchise shortens

Maybe Togrutas go through a shedding process?

I noticed that, too, but then again, I regularly start walking away from my car before locking it up with the remote but then also unlock it from a distance. I take it as we simply didn’t see the remote trigger for the ramp to be opened and closed. Real world reason: it’s cheaper to make a ramp and not address

I don’t like it, honestly. Jordan is a fantastic actor, and I’d have loved it if Killmonger HADN’T died and could then be rehabilitated or something, but I’m not a fan of reviving dead characters in this version of the Marvel universe, particularly given how impactful Tony’s death was. But I’d accept it, I guess. But

Definitely agree with you on recasting T’Challa. It’s a character that still can be developed within the universe, and I think people are too hung up on honoring Boseman’s untimely passing in such a big way. I love the idea of Shuri taking over second best, but I have no issues accepting someone else in the role of
