I think Tony Zhou is an editor, and that shows barbecue his criticisms mostly deal with cuts, timing, and pacing.

Someone who specializes in that will always find faults in the editing of others. If Tony Zhou was a cinematographer, most of his criticism would probably stem from that.

Don’t get me wrong, I love his work

I think he actually works as an editor. Couldn’t find a link to back that up, but I don’t think he’s just an armchair film critic.

Everyone needs to band together to make this a hit so we can get another Avatar series, hopefully on Netflix.

My nephew and niece discovered Avatar recently, so I have a reason to go back and watch the whole series, and because I’m watching it with my niece and nephew it’s slightly less odd that a man in his 30's is

I would complain about airline prices if there was an actual cheaper, more efficient alternative.

What do I do? I can fly across country in less than a day. I’ve crossed the country in cars, buses and trains. None of those compare to flying.

Don’t get me wrong, driving cross country is amazing, but only when it’s once

No need to do that with Weed.

Besides, if you count all the instances of legal alcohol abuse that leads to unemployment, I am sure that trumps Mary Jane by a large factor.

I am sure more people miss and/or under perform at work form alcohol than marijuana. I can smoke a joint and wake up fine the next day. Give me one too may drinks and I have a hangover.

The most common way Marijuana stops people form being able to work is because of drug tests.

I actually enjoyed Mallrats and I find this just horrible.

This movie seems like it’s just doling out every teen movie cliche it can and combining it with unfunny jokes and hyper overacting.

Also, Kevin Smith needs to lay off the pot. Just because something is funny when you’re stoned does not mean it’s worth a damn.

I think of it as a blueprint, really. The effects and budget were set in the 1990's. You can’t do what you can now back then.

But the style and tone is a direct ancestor of what we see now. It’s a mix of solid characterization mixed with action and humor.

It’s noteworthy that Joss Whedon worked on the script for X-Men.

I would take issue with that interpretation.

Days of Future Past featured Sentinels. Judge the wisdom of dumping a stadium on the White House all you want, but it was only after the (fictional) US Government started manufacturing flying robots that can detect mutants for genocide.

Not saying Magneto was right, but he’s

So I take it this is more of an interpretation of the original story rather than a straight adaptation of the original?

I’m actually not super surprised. A lot of the content of the original would get AMC a LOT of attention from fundamentalist types. I can see them wanting to have some wiggle room to avoid any nasty

Some yes. Luke force choked some guards at Jaba’s palace.

On the subject of practical uses of telekinesis, there are a number of things a Jedi could do that would be more effective than swinging a sword around.

One thing would be to lightly restrict the blood flow to the brain. This would be a telekinetic version of the rear naked choke. It would cause unconsciousness and

Make no mistake, I am not trying to pretend homophobia does not exist, but money and audiences are a factor.

I wasn’t trying to be too nitpicky. The gif is apt and hilarious.

I’m catching up on GOT and playing Dark Souls 3 this weekend.

Welp, the GOP has chosen the greater evil again.

FTFY.

As hilarious as it is, that Gif is being generous. Sam is a badass soldier being passed by an elite super-soldier. It’s not that Sam sucks; it’s that Cap is jacked to the gills on supersoldier serum.

The comparison implies there is quality to the DC films.

I know so many guys like them from my college days. Basically they’re all socially liberal when they’re young, and they turn into grumpy libertarians in their 40's.

I love the mindset that pushing boundaries and changing social attitudes are cool when you’re 25, but when the world expects the same when your 43 it’s

Here’s the Frank “Cheesecake” Cho drawing in question.

Even if you take away the pornstar body, the costume wouldn’t have worked as is. Pretty much every costume in the MCU has been tweaked to give it a practical, real world feel.

At this point the only person wearing a costume for the sake of a costume is Spiderman.

My guess is as the show started getting noticed by a pro-gay fandom, the execs were willing to let things slide because they knew it pleased the audience.

TV executives make decisions based on viewership, not outright homophobia, most likely. They wanted to suppress the lesbian parts of the show because they thought it
