One one hand, I feel smart because I know something said TV producer doesn’t know.

On the other, how can someone in that position NOT know who Ahab is? Isn’t Moby Dick kinda one of those things you learn about if you ever have one class on literature?

I could get a high school dropout not knowing, but someone who I

I’ve always heard theater is a much nicer environment. But who knows? Maybe I just found the toxic corner of Hollywood.

I think you missed my point, but I can’t really get it up to argue a day or so later, so take that as you will.

Everyone would be really confused if this was the movie poster:

Out of curiosity, theater or film?

I worked at a PR/Marketing firm that also worked to scout and develop new talent, then I worked for a production company.

The general thing everyone was told, especially the :”talent”, was to NEVER ROCK THE BOAT, or say anything that could ever lead to bad publicity in the slightest

It’s interesting what you say about egos and the transmission of knowledge.

There is a historical perspective that martial arts were not as coded into “styles” as much before the 20th century. Some were, but that was mostly just to identify a set of techniques.

Basically there were not as many formalized schools. I’m

I actually collapsed form exhaustion in my first BJJ class.

We probably have different viewpoints on BJJ and MMA, but for the most part I appreciate what you’re saying.

I think if you look at it both sides are indefensible.

Spoilers follow.

Cap is basically a form of extreme libertarianism. He expected to operate with no governmental oversight, no check on his power, and no regard for international law.

Iron Man’s side seemed like it was heading for extreme authoritarianism. Scarlet

Most likely streamlined. No body swapping, siege perilous stuff and she probably won’t have an English accent at all.

Plus I have some spoiler speculation based on the trailers. Stop reading here if you want to avoid them.

It looks like Apocalypse’s Horsemen join him voluntarily. At least magneto does.

I did a bit of Taiji. I enjoyed it and wish I did more. Tui Shou is incredibly underrated as a training tool if done right. I’ve actually worked in some of the arm drags while grip fighting in BJJ.

Thanks for reading and understanding my point. Some have relied as if I am dismissing a whole training practice or entire

Wow, what an articulate and well thought out point.

Many, many, many people have already brought this up.

As I understand it, historically the training involved greater and greater physical and spiritual tests of the students among all martial arts.

Cry in the Dojo, laugh on the battlefield.

“Yes, sure, there are other ways to train, but it would be a grave mistake to assume that these forms and sets are not important to the development of a high level of martial skill, or that choreographed single-person “routines” are the only thing that goes on inside a Kung-Fu class.”

It seems my previous comment was

I liked this movie, so I wouldn’t want to spoil the fun for anyone.

Would you say a certain moral majority might have prone to hysterical outrage over this minority?

Am I missing something? When did they make a movie called LifeHacker?

I’ve seen the movie and read the comics. No spoilers follow.

This is one instance where the movie surpasses the source material. Plus they avoid most all of the things that made the Civil War comic less than pleasant.

It’s odd to say the movie get the characters a little better than the comics.

Plus MAJOR plot points in

Isn’t the guild basically a union?

Now playing

I think if it had been made after 2010 Krunch would have been in more memes that you can imagine.
