Really? You have my attention. What’s different?
Really? You have my attention. What’s different?
I actually have an anecdote for that.
A guy I know worked for the DEA back in the 80's, during the height of the cocaine cartels. Back then he was able to go on some raids of various cartel owned buildings, which is a real world version of the classic villain hideout.
These where usually out of the way storage…
So do you have sailors and firefighters in your setting, or are you just taking different people from different special forces groups and putting them together?
True. He probably would have died of shock after getting shrapnel in his chest cavity. I haven’t watched the first Iron Man in forever. Do they portray Tony Stark getting antibiotics or painkillers after he gets exploded?
Honestly the flying bothers me more than what happens when he gets knocked around. I could list many many problems with how Iron Man flies around. First off, why does Iron Man propulsion system produce exhaust? It’s not a chemical rocket. It shouldn’t do that.
But yeah, there is that whole suspension of disbelief. If I…
Sad 9/11 reference here....
Pretty much everyone close to the collapse of the World Trade Centers developed respiratory problems coupled with cancer form being exposed to all the hazardous materials in the building.
I wonder if this movie includes a story about Perry White slowly dying from what he was exposed to in the…
Henry Cavill’s reaction in the scene is great, like he’s getting a glimpse of a better movie and wondering why he can’t be in it.
Kinja is just fucking me up. It keeps showing me your posts under my username. I really have no idea what’s going on.
I just realized I made this statement last night while tired as hell. I really don’t like what I wrote. Anyone who reads this, please disregard it.
THANK YOU. I think this anytime power armored characters get knocked around.
The hits Tony Stark took in The Avengers would have knocked a couple hundred IQ points off of him from all the concussions he would have sustained. Of course that would have explained how cheap and flimsy the Iron Man suits were in Iron Man 3.…
Wow. Recursive diddling.
As I understand it, this isn’t really a case of an evil corporation oppressing harmless fans. It’s more a case of the existing laws pushing people into a bad situation.
Form what I know, when someone makes money off of an IP, the law pretty much requires the copyright holder to enforce their rights or lose them.…
Luke Skywalker went from a nobody hick on a desert planet to blocking laser bolts while blindfolded in like, minutes.
He used the force to help blow up the Death Star after Kenobi basically suggested it to him.
Skywalker’s pick up the force quickly. Rey is probably one.
I like how you ascribe motives to Rey’s power growth. That’s interesting.
The Empire Strikes Back plothole is easily explained. Luke was possible the most powerful potential force user in history. That’s why he was able to learn to use the force in a few weeks, whereas most people needed years of training.
But Rey is a Marry Sue, because she picked up force skills rapidly like Luke, even…
It’s not dumb, it’s an observation. When someone insists on using Firefox instead of IE on IOS 9, it becomes obvious they lack an understanding of third tier software design, and are thusly not technical.
I’m deadly serious. IE is designed to work with IOS 9 . People like you just won’t get it because you’re not a technical person.
It’s because you aren’t using Internet Explorer. I don’t know why people insists on installing sub par browsers like Chrome or Firefox. IE is made to work with IOS 9. It doesn’t make sense to use something that won’t have the same built in functionality.
Here’s the list I would have made, if I had to pick 10. I’m trying to restrict myself to things made before 2000. The list isn’t in any order, because on any day I might like one over the other:
Blade Runner. Because Duh.
Original Star Wars Trilogy. The first film redefined special effects, and the sequels made them so…
God forgive me, I don’t know what you mean by the Linkara voices.
Kevin Conroy is my default voice in my head for serious readings of any Batman story. Mark Hamill for Joker, of course.
It’s really wonderful to imagine Frank Miller’s dialogue with Adam West or one of the less serious versions of Batman. All the super…
