I never registered until you had to because I enjoyed this part so much.

Its functionality was pretty poor though. There was no easy way to search for anything, wasn’t intuitive, etc. I’m convinced that was at least half the issue in their downfall.

Same :(

I watched it recently, and while it is...not good, it’s pretty typical of blockbusters of it’s time.

I’ve only seen it once, but it felt like pretty mixed quality. Possibly because it doesn’t have a super strong through line, it’s mostly a bunch of things that just happen.

Is that how Brits say Nosferatu? You guys are usually all about the soft R.

It wasn’t as go-nowhere as say, The Stand, but it was a very simple plot. Child is abducted, must rescue child. I could see a mini-series doing OK with the plot as is if they kept it propulsive after the son is taken.

Horns has suuuuch a MPDG problem, though. Locke and Key is great, you should check it out!

“Conjured a mood” is a great way to describe all of the King brood’s books.

Wait wait wait...is that how Brits pronounce Nosferatu?? You guys never hit the hard r’s!

Locke & Key deserves a great adaptation. It might be the easiest one to adapt since it’s already very visual (but might be tough to keep it from looking camp/cheesy).

I’m surprised that more people don’t like NOS4A2. I liked Horns, but I thought it ended up dragging on way too long and the girlfriend was a MPDG. Heart-shaped Box had somewhat of a MPDG as well, but she got developed a bit better. I liked the main character of this one quite a bit.

The fireman is the hero (right? it’s been awhile). Do you mean the husband? If so yes, and he was also classic Stephen King ridiculous spouse villain.

Because they’re 7th day adventists?

It did.

I remember reading about that on this very site.

That is a thing to behold.

I thought of that movie (and review) reading this one!

I keep telling everyone I know to watch it! Not many takers though. I got my parents to watch 5 or 6 episodes and they determined it wasn’t for them, unfortunately.

I liked the first season as a self-contained beast, kind of a fairy tale logic of sorts. But it obviously doesn’t have the bones to support more seasons.
