Say what you will about Iris the character - and I concur that the writers have done almost nothing interesting with her - but Candice Patton the actor can bring it. Her little high five with Cisco at the beginning was a nice moment, and her reaction to Barry's "death" was spot on. Too bad she also has to say lines

"On the show, death brings change. People thought this meant a change in the Night's Watch after Jon's death, possibly paving the way for Samwell Tarly to become Lord Commander. Not a bad theory, but I never took it seriously."

Way back in second season, Melisandre said that she would meet Arya again. I know Jaime says "fuck prophecy", but I feel like that means Melisandre's going to stick around for a while.

Keeping that logic going, Tyrion is tainted too, as kinslayer, and that would probably put him out of the running, considering he's got a death warrant on him. And even without Jaime's kingslayer status, I think you give up all right to lands when you join the Kingsguard. Didn't Tywin have a brother?

In Dance With Dragons, Stannis sends Davos to go get a newly found Stark, so that could be a possible way to get the show back on track.

I didn't see the preview, but the High Sparrow has to feel pretty untouchable right now. He has the queen and had the king's mother in custody and nobody could do fuck-all about it. You might be right about Jaime, but the High Sparrow has every motivation to feel confident standing up to him. If Jaime kills him, the

Sooooooo…Arrow has a fridge-ing problem right? I know I'm not the first to point this out, but since Tommy in season 1, all the major deaths have been female characters: Shado, Sarah (twice), Moira, Thea, and now Laurel. This is especially unfortunate because the female characters on this show have been a major

Maybe why I liked the game then. Damn if I didn't love me some Stabbing Westward.

As a high school teacher, this article kind of makes me want to play through this game again. I played it (and loved it) on release, and even played through the first disc again a few years ago, but I never recognized the connection to the high school mind.

I hope next season's flashbacks are just Oliver sitting on the island and, like, carving a stick or something for a couple minutes, then back to the present. They would be more interesting than whatever the hell is happening now.

I actually just came back here to write that I saw your earlier comments in another thread. Thanks for the response, though.

Unless it has something to do with the comics, could you explain why "it's basically confirmed that Laurel is gonna bite the dust"? I know someone's going to die and we're going to "witness the end of an era", but I don't see the Laurel connection. Not saying it won't be her, but I don't see how she's a better

It won't be her. They already showed her in a limo with Oliver during one of the flash forwards.

Which would be fine if were somehow explained the show. As it is, though, it was a very jarring scene.

Or they're making a joke about how, when Hanson was famous, people would get in heated arguments about who was the hot one, leaving no room for the others to be different levels of hot, rather only different levels of ugly.

Iris's new boss is both unlikable and problematic. It's not exactly the actor's fault, although I don't think he's that good an actor, but more so the writer's handling of him.

She was never my favorite character, but I'll keep an open mind since now she'll be more than just James Olsen's girlfriend and third wheel. I think she could be good as Supergirl's friend.

That was my thought, too. "Is that song really twelve years old?"

I think Cat did "just [know] Kara wouldn't write such a thing", which is why she had Winn look into it in the first place. Tracing it down to Siobahn, though, was pretty sloppy.
