No, we certainly don’t need WikiLeaks to tell us that Germany and the US work together, but unfortunately, we need WikiLeaks to tell us what Germany and the US are working ON together.

Obviously, you clearly don’t seem terribly concerned, but some of us like our governments to have accountability.

I believe the implication isn’t that collaboration in the abstract should be surprising, but that the project they were collaborating ON should be upsetting.

In general, we should be upset when governments spy on their own citizens.
