@gijenny01: "An Unexpected Article: basing the actions of an entire industry based on just one company."

my work iPhone says "Sent from my iPad Nano"

they lowered costs by selling bad hardware? why not just lower prices by dropping windows? would probably save more money and there would be less chance of fire catching. (except for the techs who are barely smart enough to know what linux is, much less support it.)

@sip: and then you never actually use the OSI model shy of working for like a tier 1 isp.

Good god that is verbose.

@freezway: my question too. and is it in chromium? I have chromium, not chrome due to how my distro deals with non-libre packages(haphazardly to say the least).

turn off auto-correcting. i was tired of Outlook assuming it knew what i wanted. i would rather go back and fix my mistakes than outlook make them for me.

cool deal.

buy more memory or do less stuff. nothing beats the speed of physical ram. and the way windows does page file (page file in use all the time in one way or another) is frankly retarded.

@Jophan: so.... people are retarded and like shiny things before they think the purchase through? check.

@Masonvrocks Ver. 3.0: its for children! of course it can take a beating. of course adults are just as (more) clumsy than most children i know ...

@fughedaboudit: the question should be if that is right. if i install Linux / windows on a Mac book, the hardware is still under warranty. do you lose your hardware warranty if the phone is jailbroken? if so that is retarded. the hardware hasn't been changed, the software has been.

my users need to read this. sadly, none of them will understand it and just complain tht i should make it to where they can surf the entire net and never get a virus. its my job, right?

@Fazulka: yews but to make the new shiny chromeOS work on new netbooks, manufactures are going to have to make linux drivers for their hardware. whether or not they release it to the internet is not really a problem. It being there will mean sooner or later it will be available to all linux users one way or another.

@Fazulka: wifi support in linux depends solely on the manufactures. hopefully with the power of google behind chrome, more manufactures will release wifi drivers and the last decade will become a bad nightmare. personally i shop for my parts and laptops based solely on linux support of the hardware.

facebrowsers are not the way to go! i don't want anyone knowing my user account name! if you have my name you that much closer to having my password! who on earth thought face browsers were secure? They aren't!

@eien: for the most part, for length of life, you are right. underclocking will decrease temperatures and decrease power usage which can be helpful in laptops. But your OS's power management (cpufrequtils for me) will do the job just as well and even better.

i cringed alittle seeing that first image. my first four computers went up in flames(literally)...

should also note to those who dual boot or wine their games: nvidia's proprietary driver works better in linux than the ati closed or open source drivers.
