how would this work over Operating Systems? I know the three or four extensions I use are all cross platform, but what about ext. like ie-tab. I mean I use Linux basically 100% of the time at home, but work requires an Xp machine.

since i work in the IT department, I get pretty much what i want. I generally only use windows for the stuff that I have no other option on, though. Use OS X and Linux (Arch) otherwise.
