Yeah, way to go Microsoft— you still look like assholes.

I don't quite understand why they can't do both. I mean, why not allow gamers to install their games to the HDD and have the system perform 24 hour check ups whenever the game is played without the disc in the tray? If the disc is in there, don't perform the check. If it isn't, check.

So, I think the question now is: If the console doesn't have to be connected online all the time, what happens to all that magical processing power that we were getting from the kingdom of the Cloud?

You're complimenting a company for trying to fuck over their base, then deciding not 2, ONLY because people were pissed?

if xbox introduces backward compatibility, I would switch back. otherwise, I still don't have a reason to.

I'm prepared to accept Microsoft's admission of epic failure (because LULz), and I'll stop making fun of them if it means they stop being moronic assholes.
The fact that this happened in the first place cannot, however, be forgiven.

The sheer gall to think everyone was stupid enough to let them get away with this.
Pffft.
U

PLOOOOT TTWWWWIIIISSSTT!

If they confirm it also calls the legitimacy of those claims into question, a la SimCity "needing" the cloud to run the simulation.

The Xbox One-Eighty.

OMG guys! Our bitching has DONE SOMETHING!

I won't buy this system anymore even if these changes are implemented. I will punish Microsoft's hubris in the one way they care, the wallet.

And who says complaining never solved anything?

You did blow my mind! Truly mind blowing the demo systems are running off superior Nvidia 700 series video cards to make it look better then the real deal.

Yeah I know, Microsoft using Windows 7 PCs with Nvidia 700 series hardware and not actually using Xbox One Dev kits to demo on sure makes it one of Microsoft's best E3s.

I'm not even sure why people are even still talking about the Xbox One. I have been a long time fan of Microsoft. I have helped bring dozens of people to their side. The choice seems pretty dam clear to me. SCREW MS. I've already pre ordered my PS4. And this is coming from a guy who has boycotted ALL Sony products for

A friend sent me this tweet, which I'm pretty fucking disgusted by! I'm hoping this is just a hoax.

With the rising cost of developing a game I doubt every game (or even most games) are going to take advantage of cloud computing or use it on a scale that they talked about above. So since not every game will use it why not make 24hr check in's mandatory to only that game or just make the game online only? Why do it

This defies almost all knowledge of computing I know... I mean, it is possible to send a task via network to a remote computer to process a job on the cloud, and then send back the results. We saw this with the PS3 and the Folding@Home project.
