It's a really crap business decision though. Giving people the option to play as a female character would mean it appeals to many more people. Women are a massive demographic, you realise?

There are four protagonists in this game. Ubisoft comes right out and says that women characters aren't a priority. It's the fact that there was 4x the opportunity to include a women and they just stuck with men - and that Ubisofts official statement is seen as a slap in the face for women who are fans of the series…

Yeah, I've played a few of them but my wife has played every one of them. Most of them to 100% completion. She also made a badass Edward Kenway cosplay (that shit takes a ton of time and leather isn't cheap). So.. tell me again who these games are for?

No, no, you misunderstand me. I said main character. The reason female playable characters were dropped is because the main character is male. I'd really like to see a full-on Assassin's Creed (Liberation doesn't count, it was kind of a mess) with a female protagonist.

Then don't do double the work and simply tweak the animations you already have. I'm an animator too. It's beyond stupid to start all over from scratch when you have pre-existing work you can spend a little extra effort customizing and tweaking. And they have Aveline's resources, don't they? Why not use those?

I didn't even think she looked bad or anything. That just gave FemShep an air of utter badass who takes no bullshit from anyone. I think it worked.

Look, if you don't want to have female assassin because of creative reasons that's perfectly ok. Just don't come out and tell me you have a multi-million dollar videogame that's being made collectively by 8 Ubisoft Studios from around the world who have the time to painstakingly create a huge and detailed Paris filled…
