TBH,we sort of did (Oprah’s Harpo Studios in Chicago),but his is technically the first lot I guess;either way,for someone as invested in filmmaking/directing/etc. as he is,and as much as he puts into it,this has got to be a major dream come true for him,as well as others in his arc. Good for him!

For once I agree with Whoopi that it took so long. We could have had an all Black studio way before this. Still I am really glad for Tyler that he’s finally done it. I really hope that he cultivates talented Black filmmakers and artists to make inspiring product and he takes a back seat to directing.
