If you’re trying to buy a ‘classic’ Mini (50's/60's) then yeah - way expensive. But you can still get early 80's Minis at sub-$15K... Not many of them, but they exist.

My (now-18-year-old) daughter watched Zeffirelli’s Romero & Juliet in freshman high school English - just 3 years ago. She said it was super-awkward watching with her friends. But also a really good movie which made her start to appreciate Shakespeare...
“After she was cuffed, they asked if she had a weapon, to which she answered no. But they still went on to search her vehicle.”
No example pics of what looking through the rear view camera is like compared to a mirror???
I ride a motorcycle and I HATE not being able to see through the car in front. I just pass them if they’re big SUVs, trucks, vans etc. I need all the help I can get seeing the shit that’s going on ahead of me...
I live at Lake Tahoe, and have had bears just walk into our house when I left the back door open...
I have Tiles on all my bikes. Obviously fewer people wandering around with the Tile app on their phone so significantly less likely to be of use if the bike is stolen, but they’re cheaper than AirTags (mine were free from some tech conference as fancy giveaways)...
I wouldn’t call a Hit-Air vest cheap (about $350), but IMO it’s a better option - it’s a classic “attach to the bike with a coiled wire” vest so there’s no electronics involved (no worries about charging it), it comes with a spare gas canister, if it goes off you can re-fold it yourself (as long as it’s not ripped -…
I mean, the price is great for a new bike, but why but a new bike anyway.
Maybe they could do a better job of route planning for motorcycles? I don't want to pick a route and then have it tell me every few minutes "I've found a shittier freeway route that will be quicker but more boring. If you don't press the screen in the next 5 seconds, we'll change your route to use that road".
Honestly, a manual transmission car is a bad car for a teenager
I mean, that’s good, but it’s no “Business-wise, Carvana is on the struggle-bus”...
Disclosure: I’m British, but have lived in the US for the last 25 years (basically half my life). I go back to visit regularly. I have black relatives in the UK and I married into a black family. For whatever that’s worth.
I honestly don’t think MUCH of it is racism per se.
“Of course, this isn’t saying that if you didn’t get a shot you’re going to get into or cause a traffic incident. The correlation doesn’t work that way.”
So which states were slow to adopt/force it? I’m in CA, and I was able to get a Real ID license several years ago... Everyone I know has one. Is this Kansas screwing the system again?
I just replaced the stock Falken Sincera tires on my 2017 Golf AllTrak after 51,000 miles. They were getting pretty close to dangerously minimal tread...
Re: Witchfinder General
There may be legitimate concerns about how well the front-facing cameras (no radar any more and certainly no lidar) ‘see’ motorcycles - especially cruiser-style bikes with relatively low-to-the-ground rear lights - perhaps perceiving them as far-off cars rather than close bikes.
Stupid question: How common is it for cars to have different-sized front and rear wheels?
We keep talking about this for “older cars”. I wanna point out that that’s not the same as “old cars” - my 2017 VW Golf AllTrak SE (only 5 years old!) doesn’t have Apple Car Play or Google Auto out whatever. It has a decent touch screen for the audio stuff, but that's it.
