It was some Cheflebrity who said something like “90% of cooking is error correction.”  So, as bad as that advice is, it’s very freeing, allowing me to fly daringly into the unknown and really only worry about the landing.

If you observe the restriction on cooking, you might look at the Wonderbag. It’s a big insulated sack to keep stews, chilis, casseroles hot for a pretty long time. Might help out with something like this where you’re trying to slow cook for a long long time.  And it’s a cool charity.
