It’s more like “don’t get it” when heroes are deconstructed. Absolutely I believe this. They’re “general audience members” they are never going to get those injokes. Deconstructing is in itself one giant injoke. Happened with The Matrix and now The DC films. Deconstruction is always a natural response. Nolan’s trilogy…

An odd choice of words. “Despising” someone professionally. Why? Because they made a deconstructionist Superman film.

This is my worry. They used the only interesting Punisher storyline in Daredevil. Now our main character will be a slaughterer. It’s like Dexter without the secret identity element. It cannot work, it’ll crumble but it’ll still be watched, similarly to The Walking Dead. There will always be nerds and teenagers.

Shane Black needed to have it his way, post-Avengers so needed a new direction i.e. Stark’s PTSD.
