You can actually achieve the same "moving 3D" effect without the iPod—simple clear lenses will do. Just look through the binoculars and move your head around, and you'll see the world moving in full 3D. Advanced users don't even need the binoculars at all.

Price aside, I think this is pretty cool, especially if it has stylus input with palm rejection. But then again I was that dork taking notes with his Newton in class back in the day. That thing was great. Performed flawlessly. No, really!
