I do admit I’ve told this story more than once, but I don’t think it would hurt to tell it one more time.

SD70s look way better than that Chevy.

The C5 actually is a really impressive car. The frame design and suspension layout hasn’t really changed that much between a 1997 C5 and a 2018 C7 Z06. It’s mostly been incremental changes to the control systems and powertrain. The interiors have gotten a lot nicer as well.

LS engines?

I’ll give ya a star for the effort!

Yeah - the infinite scroll of Kinja is like the La Brea tar pits. More than one mammoth and sabertooth tiger got trapped, so your comment is in good company.

Finally, somebody told him! I noticed it a while ago, but didn’t have the heart to tell him that he just typed out 2,139 words in the wrong article lol

So much text. On. The. Wrong. Post. However, username checks.

Of course it’s going to disappoint. There’s precisely two ways the new Supra can go:

I don’t know about 2j headgaskets but my buddy spun a bearing on a stock 2JZGE in his SC300.

Yep...as a previous 01.5 owner, tires and wheels are not a concern.

Surprised you didn’t work a hooker murder joke in there. Or maybe a joke about arm wrestling and hats.

Anything with polished lips from BBS. RS and LM, especially, which you can put on almost every car ever produced and still make it lit af.

Bought a hard-used e39 m5, drove it 25k miles, sold it. Total cost of ownership including repairs and maintenance AND depreciation was about $2k a year.

I had an E39 M5 for a while. The cost to keep it on the road wasn’t that bad, but I also didn’t have any major problems. I ended up selling it because I was getting worried reading too much on the forums. Sold it to get an E36 M3 sedan and upgrade my kitchen. Ended up trading the E36 for an E39 540iT and I am happier

The 525i rims always looked like they were trying too hard. The 530i was always the perfect E39 rim for me.

If you have to drive to work today, do it with some class.

Commentariat on article about millionaires and billionaires setting up shell-companies for the sole purpose of avoiding taxes that Joe Schmoe has to pay: “I empathize with the rich, I would do the same. This is not illegal. Blame the government.”

I don’t quite agree with your opinion, tho I do respect it. I do agree that the market for SUVs is bloated, & that bubble is unlikely to burst anytime soon. Something of this age does show it, sure. But for a luxury platform that can actually do heavy duty, comes from quite a reputable brand, & has some years of use

The non-turbo Z32 has 222 HP and 198 lb-ft of torque. It weighs 3,300 pounds and costs $30,825. The Corvette has 375 HP and 370 lb-ft of torque. It weighs 3,200 pounds and costs $33,600. Besides the small difference in price, why would you choose the Nissan?
