Almost everyone Steve Dillon draws has a long face. He's kinda bad about giving everyone the same face, in all honesty.

Well yeah, it's pretty implausible that the result of years of mental and physical torture of a child, including SPOILER locking that child in a coffin for weeks at a time, would result in that kid growing up to be Jason Bourne with nigh-magical fighting abilities. Constant vicious beatings only make you stronger if…

Assuming the entity is the same as it is in the comics, it's neither good nor evil. It doesn't have its own will at all, which is why it has to seek out a host. Without someone else controlling it, it's just raw power screaming through the universe.

Considering that the comic itself begins with the lyrics to that song, I'd bet you're right about that. Ennis at least had the song in mind when he wrote it anyway.

You're not meant to know what's up with Cassidy at first, so count yourself lucky that it hasn't been spoiled for you. I doubt the show will take long to reveal that, even if you manage to avoid spoiling it by reading these comments.

I suspect that John Wayne won't be showing up at all if he wasn't in the first episode.

So far the comic and the show seem different enough that it might not be an issue.

They'd better not do to Quincannon what they did to the Governor.

MOVING FUCKING WALKWAY, NOT MOVING FUCKING STANDWAY

Sounds like you'd love the comics.

I agree with this assessment. Ellis is at his best when he's just going off on his wild ideas. Transmetropolitan is the best example of this: the best part of the series was just exploring the world ; once it started actually following a plotline it became much less interesting.

Yeah, something tells that Jesus de Sade and the sexual investigators won't be appearing in this series.

As a big fan of the comics, I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about this series. My main fear is that the whole series will stay stuck in Annville.

I didn't think Cassidy looked all that similar to the comic version; he's not as skinny and he has normal eyes.

Ah, maybe I'm remembering it backwards. Though if they actually can stop their heartbeat… what would be the point in breathing?

The ninjas were deliberately not breathing so Daredevil couldn't hear them. That's why he had to listen for their heartbeats and the sound from their weapons.

Naw, the first two seasons of Korra were the karmic price paid for the perfection of the first series. The Last Airbender movie is a karmic debt that can never be repaid.

Cool! I thought it was the best of the One-shots. It's just unfortunate that Marvel's shown no indication that they plan to follow up on the revelations in it.

Slattery did make one more appearance in the One Shot: All Hail the King short that can be found on the Thor 2 Blu-Ray. Or Vimeo.

I dunno. The effects for Elena's powers are probably pretty cheap. Just smash cut to her holding the bad guy's pants or whatever.
