Nothing worse than cheap pads. I bought cheap ones one time to save a few bucks on my older pickup. With all the squeaks and grinding noises, I am about ready to redo the whole job with a set of decent pads.

Not unless they are warped or deeply grooved. If I do not feel any surging when braking (warp) and the disk looks and feels basically smooth, I do not get them turned. It also seems like most the time I try and get a rotor turned I am told it would make them too thin per spec and, so, they will not turn them. Instead,

Definitely #1. Jacks and jackstands are notoriously narrow and will tip easy if the car is allowed to roll. In park, there still is usually 10 -15 degrees of wheel rotation available before lock. You do not want the car to roll when you are under it cranking on those pin bolts trying to get them to free.

You mean you do not just hammer them to hell with a impact wrench set at 140psi?

True. As long as the rotors are straight and not grooved too badly.

Interesting. Replying to an article about the harm of name calling you manage to call another group names. I bet you totally miss the irony of this.

The car was just merging and didn’t see the bike. Speeds and rate of merge were so slow the bike just stayed in its lane. But now you tell me:

attempted murder

Perception of bikers as overly sensitive prima donnas? Probably not. Seeing the Honda, maybe one profanity, then breaking to allow the bad driver to merge in front of us, that would go a long way to changing perceptions. This kind of illegal merge happens to me every day, several times a day.

Not very calm, but that is not what happened here. The bike just didn’t want to give her right of way because he had it. There was never going to be a collision. This happens to nearly every driver every frikken day. Just tap the brakes and let the damn Honda in, mutter under your breath, and get on your way. Be a big

You would be surprised. I have had two former teachers in their upper 80's get BEATEN and robbed. I really do understand the need to beat a person of this advanced age just to rob them. There has to be some real anger/evil in it.

So, you think it’s linear like that? If you tea kettle heats to 100 centigrade (actual is capable of much higher) you don’t think 1,000 centigrade can do some damage? Are you wanting the weapon to shoot plasma?

Eventually, all combat roles will be filled by machines. While the pilots feel bad now, soon the rest will join the,. Delta, SEALs, all of them. There is a strong history of replacing dangerous roles with machines. Not only does no one die, but many actually perform the job better.

Valid points. I doubt the sensors are at the point a machine can be as aware as a human pilot. That said, this is the future. In just a few decades drones will fight the air war for us. The planes will be lighter, faster, and cheaper. And the AI will be able to make maneuvers that would kill a human.

Yeah, but this thing was waaaaay to many miles. Unless he is doing a complete engine rebuild, tranny, axles, front-end, etc I just can see this being drivable.

Maybe GM, and this Cadillac, need a little time on the road before we can call it an M5 killer. This smells like the typical American HP barge - just stuff the largest engine we can in whatever we have sitting around. This car would be much closer to an M5 killer if you dropped the HP at least 100 and lightened it up.

Especially since hemlock looks a lot like many wild mustards and parsnips.

As much as any other actress is, yes.

Did I dismiss one of your comments? Sorry - didn’t mean to if I did. I do not believe in doing that.

Maybe she needed more help and support from the father? Based on the linked article, the kids had been dead for some time. Which would indicate he has not been around a while.
