Ive never been in a bar/drunken fight or come close. My secret is that when I did drink in public, I learned to not drink with assholes.

I was a bouncer for a year in college, and had to break up maybe 2 fights the entire time? Anyone who asserts they don’t know a single person who wasn’t in a bar fight hangs out with a lot of assholes.

Except in a significant way it is not his past indiscretions that are hindering him, it is his present responses to them.

It makes me shiver thinking about when his nomination was first announced. He presented himself in such a meek, humbled manner. My question to my husband last night was, “If Kavanaugh could see into the future, do you think he would have not allowed himself to be nominated?” And he responded “No way, I know guys like him and they can’t imagine a world where past indiscretions would hinder future opportunities.” Made me realize how true that…

He knows he will get confirmed if he doesn’t withdraw. He doesn’t care what this does to his family, his friends, his victims or the country. His ambition is not bound by the tiniest bit of decency.

Not sure about your dad’s cousin’s orientation, but I know *gay* people that defended Trump prior to the election as an ally of gay rights. In the end their fear/racism won out over any sort of objective position on the information in front of them.

My Dad’s cousin still maintains that Trump is an ally to gay people because he held that rainbow flag (upside down) once.
