From everything I’ve heard from actual reliable outlets, the kids weren’t the targets. It was directed at Kavanaugh and they didn’t want the kids to hear it.

The yearbook bragging isn’t important because of whether or not he had had sexual intercourse—as you say, it’s a trope/cliche of teenage males in our society to brag about the sex they’ve never experienced, no matter how implausible. Thus, the “girlfriend in Canada” jokes that remain evergreen.

This show, just like every other prime time “comedy” is predicated on the concept of adults acting like children, which, even as a child, I found stupid and simplistic.

The first seasons of this show were fantastic: I laughed out loud, marveled at Jim Parsons, and cared about the characters.
