I second thundercat. It is ok to not know how you feel. Mourn you loss, give yourself time to heal and you may even be surprised at how faster than you thought you find the answer to your questions once you let yourself grieve. Finding support in a grieving group or a therapist may help.

Exactly on point. They have been saying over and over that they want “the right people” to come to the country, people who can provide for themselves and be productive here. I used to teach at an American college. By far the best students were the non-American. I doubt some of the skills these workers have are easy to find. Our basic education system is soo fucked up we simply do not train our own people well at all.

Excuse me if I did not grow up in the US and had heard little to nothing about life in this part of the country before. I know you are frustrated but do not assume all of us have the same access to the same information as you.
