Well i thought the bar-scene was quite a moving send-off scene, just a very bittersweet one knowing the spin-off isn’t going forward - and the moment the pilot was passed upon they should have seized the duo and thrown them back onto SHIELD.

The best part about Nick Blood playing Lance Hunter is that you can literally combine all four of those words in any way and it still sounds awesome:
Agreed. As the review alluded, McFarlane always acts like he’s putting on a funny skit rather than...you know, acting.
MacFarlane is a talented writer (if not my cup of tea) but why is he in front of the camera?
Bringing Nick Blood and Palicki into Legends as Scott Free and Big Barda would be my favorite bit of stunt casting they’d ever done, and they’ve done some truly hilarious stunt casting.
Would LOVE if they brought her back to SHIELD. Nick Blood, too (loved him on the show, but I still can’t believe that’s his name, as it sounds as made up as his character’s name, Lance Hunter.)
My guess is that he’d like to be making an actual scifi show, as earnest the albums of standards he’s released, but Fox probably won’t pay for anything other than a comedy, so we’re getting the two mashed together.
My dream role for Adrienne Palicki: joining the crew of Legends of Tomorrow as Big Barda. Would settle for her returning to SHIELD as Bobbi though. This... mmm no, I don’t think so. Also her unfaithful ex-wife/ 2nd in command role seems ill-conceived & beneath her.
American Dad got much better when Seth MacFarlane was too busy to actually run the show, making him only an actor. I hope the Orville is the same.
I plan to check out a few episodes, but usually find MacFarlane pretty insufferable. I adore Adrienne Palicki, though, so I feel like I should at least give it a shot. This review makes me feel like I might not make it through the second episode, though.
I watched the segment just to see Wilmore’s reactions to him. God, the faces he makes when MY says something stunningly absurd.
I really miss Nightly Show. It had found a great rhythm and style and Larry always had diverse guests and views represented. Fuck Comedy Central for cancelling it right before Trump really took off. Whoever runs Comedy Central must be a real asshole. They completely fucked up replacing Stewart (though Trevor Noah has…
I agree it fucking sucks Larry lost his show and Maher will be around forever, but I think it has more to do with the respective business models of Comedy Central and HBO. Maher’s ratings don’t matter in the same way as Comedy Central’s. This allows Maher to coast on being too edgy for network television 16 years ago,…
It kills me that Larry lost his show and Bill will probably have his until he dies or retries. Television viewers have no taste.
It was a disheartening interview, but even Bill jumped onto the fuck-Milo train in the Overtime segment posted to YouTube. It’s especially worth a watch to see Larry Wilmore and Malcom Nance take Milo down, showing the man-child is clearly in over his head.
Funny, 2017 seems like exactly the time that this sort of thing would happen in America.
I’m glad the Germans were offended, though, and that they said so. I wish Rittner had ripped the mic out of that shitbird’s hands.
We’re in 2017 — something like this should not happen in America.
What a complete disaster. This was supposed to play instead of the Star Spangled Banner.
All that, when the regular, un-photoshopped photo would’ve gotten the point across.
