I am totally doing this! Except I am going to make two and put them side by side in a giant box and put the Reese’s logo on it. Basically just so I can then show it to my husband and say, “Now THIS is fun size.”

Agree 100%. Even genetically perfect people look terrible with bangs. They are objectively terrible. Do not get bangs.

As stupid as this app is, I don’t condone harassment or death threats to the founder. However, it’s kind of terrifying that even AFTER receiving that level of “negativity” directed at her, she still doesn’t seem to understand, in any way, why her app is terrible. This woman’s cluelessness is just off the charts.

I agree that the last-minute no show guests should send a card or an email or something apologizing for not making it. But trying to get in touch with the couple on the day of seems ill-advised. Unless you’re IN the wedding and they need to know to fill your spot, they don’t have time for that. The day of my wedding I

I don’t like to bring it up. But I definitely agree that we reinforce the taboo by submitting to it, so I try to be open when it seems to make sense. For instance, I got married last year. My friend just got engaged, and immediately started tearing her hair out about how much everything cost, and how no one would give

I think, for me the answer is: “Well, you know how I feel about {insert boyfriend/job/situation}, but you also know I’m here for you.” I’m probably not going to be able to resist giving my opinion, but once my friend is aware of it, and not changing course, I don’t really see the benefit to beating her over the head

Absolutely. I think I first really noticed when they rebooted 90210. I was in high school/college for the original, and I thought Kelly and Brenda super hot and wanted to be just like them. The new one came out, and the girls on that one are a whole other level of thin.

Also, water is... not great, as lube.

I think so! And journals and little art-reproduction statues. I did like a lot of their jewelry, too. I liked that it was copies of things historical people had actually worn. I couldn’t afford it in high school though.

I don’t want this set, but does anyone remember when The Museum Store used to be in basically every mall? I loved their scarves/umbrellas/random puzzles. I think there are still a couple somewhere but all the ones near me are gone, sadface.

Oh. Yes. This. You have captured it perfectly, and also depressed the ever-living hell out of me, but I was having a bad day anyway.

I’m actually a little bit torn. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’ll have to take a smoke break (I don’t smoke) at 6pm ET to go outside and do a happy dance. But at the same time, he was the GOP candidate I had the most detailed arguments against, since all my conservative in-laws live in Wisconsin. So I’m back at square

This. This so much. I appreciate what Obama has done - and historically, I appreciate what he is symbolically - but damn if I didn’t think he was going to be a LOT more liberal than he turned out to be. As soon as he folded on single-payer without a fight the honeymoon was over for me.

Well, I think lots of people have jobs that involve doing things they’re not comfortable with. For instance, I sometimes have to call vendors and ask them to waive late fees, even though my clients absolutely incurred the late fees and personally I think they should have to pay them. So asking the company to waive the

I, too, am atheism.

This is not my story; I just witnessed it. 2nd period, 1st day of school, sophomore year (HS). This girl I’ve known as a vague acquaintance (our moms were briefly coworkers) since kindergarten walks in, about 5 minutes after the bell. The girl is very awkward, badly dressed, and I think she had some sort of learning

I won one by mail! In California, like Gloff. I mean, technically it was my husband’s ticket, but I re-wrote his declaration and did all the follow-up calling. But you do have to pay upfront before you get to fight it in that case.

This is giving me flashbacks to Grisham’s The Pelican Brief. Except of course in real life the forces of good don’t prevail. :(

Me too! I know it’s weird, but I always liked them together, they just seemed low-key and happy. And he was the only Beverly Hills 90210 alum who seemed to come out of it without major weirdness, so I wished them the best. I am irrationally sad about this.

My comments were meant to be read as discussing the possible implementation of this system in major American airports. I apologize if I didn’t make that clear. If this system works for the places already using it, that’s great. I just think that adopting it here, for flights on large jets, is both impractical and
