I’d argue that Outlander makes Kushiel’s Dart filmable. Game of Thrones does the sword-and-sorcery-with-politics thing, but Outlander proves it can be done with a female protagonist, and a lot of sex, mostly consensual.

Yes, Kushiel’s Dart is first. There are only 3 books in its direct series, then 3 more with many of the same characters, but with a different protagonist and about ten years later.
