Should Kotaku abstain from covering games if they launch broken on day one?

The cops are assholes for sure, but a lot of blame needs to be put on Blake Murphy too. She says she didn’t mean for any of this to happen and that she didn’t mean to racially profile Mr. Crosby. And then to follow the car and the police to the scene of the incident WTF was she thinking would happen?!
her name and phone number are available for eveyone to call
yes subtle
One of the worst things about being a Lions fan is that people don’t even give the Lions full credit for their shittiness. They talk about the Browns, the Bills, the Jaguars, etc in the same breath. But it’s not even close!
Just before the Espys this year, I invited all my friends to tune in and watch all the inevitable Lions appearances, as The Other Team in every highlight reel.
Completely missing the point.
A level or two is about two and a half hours of gaming. I usually game for 3 and a half hours a night, but less with competitive shooters because I get annoyed by pubs and do not have enough active friends to play with.
Nope. I suddenly care a LOT less about trying to collect things in this game. This is my very, very least favorite practice of a lot of companies offering collectibles right now. If I can’t collect everything, and I *know* I’ll never be able to collect everything, I’m sorry but I’m just not interested.
Items can duplicate, grey items drop at a far higher rather than blue, purple and gold, and for most people they are playing for the special skins and emotes, and not for the sprays and icons.
My biggest issue is that you aren't guaranteed to not get a duplicate. Can't buy with credits? Eh, okay. But if I might only get 5 boxes from playing, and I might get 2 or 3 of the same item? No thanks.
Issue I am having is how many rare things you get purely depend on your current level. If you just start out or already got to LV 100, you can level up incredibly fast and get many more loot boxes than people who are currently at LV 80. It takes a lot more games to level up and probably won’t reach 100 in time before…
Overwatch is seeming more and more like a game better suited as F2P every day.
I don’t care about there being some rare legendary skins to brag about having. It’s fine. There should be something to be excited about. But I also think that there’s something wrong when most of things you can get in loot boxes are dull. I would totally trade all of the sprays, profile pictures, and hell probably the…
I think rather than making them available for normal credits they should have seasonal credits that are awarded during this time. Like the conquest point in competative. With this the boxes that you earn during this time give credits that can be used towards seasonal items and at the end any remaining credits are…
Even then though, it’s not something you can work toward. People are clamoring for the ability to earn things. It’s pretty respectable, but the same crowd flinging “entitled millennials” pops up. I really just want the ability to earn Törbjorn’s stuff. I don’t need or even want it handed to me. If I’m one of the few…
An article not praising Overwatch left and right? color me surprised...for a moment there, I thought this was just going to be skipped over, like so many other obvious problems with the game...
I mean if this was a f2p game, fine. limited time events. But I paid $40, console folks paid $60.
They already made their intentions clear by charging $40. People are asking, “But how do they monetize the game to keep it up?”
“Sometimes we want to give everything to everybody. For example, a few weeks ago we gave everyone a new hero — Ana.”
