Those are extremely generous numbers.
Those are extremely generous numbers.
I believe the officer was quoted as saying “I swear, I thought he was black!”
“Ray says that he’s not the type to physically build things. Instead, he dreams up the idea and has local professionals make it a reality.”
Well when I hear “TikToker” my alarm bells already sounded, so I’m not surprised to hear he lied about this being his car, and if he’s willing lie about that to get clicks there may be other things he is willing to do to get clicks.
Considering all the things people do for “likes” I don’t think it’s implausible at all, no matter how much a fan he made himself out to be before.
given that it was a hoax staged for clicks, does it also not seem likely that the airbag coming off was a setup (i.e. he removed the clips so he could make the video) precisely to drive clicks?
I mean.....
Hill Start Assist. Ford has it in all of it’s modern manual transmission vehicles. Basically, when it detects that the vehicle is on a grade at a stop, it holds the brake for a few seconds when letting off the clutch in first gear. Essentially does that same thing we did with the manual handbrake, automatically.
This is the kind of in depth review by a highly knowledgeable expert that I love. Most sites focus on simply the on road or the off road aspects without giving the other enough attention. This blended both very well with a focus on how the compromise worked between the two.
I do wish it had a traditional hand-operated handbrake lever, like in the Land Cruiser. When on a hill and using a manual transmission, it is very nice to be able to hold the handbrake with your right hand and slowly release it as you release the clutch.
Nicely written review, especially considering I’m not an off-roader and have little interest in owning a Bronco or Jeep. Really enjoyed the “free review”!
Get ready to take that yard-shit!
Jason’s adventures in Changli acquisition & ownership is one of my favorite things on Jalopnik, ever, and I’ve been reading from damn near the very start.
Now THAT’S a handle I haven’t seen in a long time. Where’ve you been $kay?
Ridiculous car rebadging you say?
Only an idiot would say that. GM was King in those days. People love GM cars of that era and collectors are doing their best to restore those old GM vehicles.
This dude is stanning so fucking hard he forgot that towing a car is a thing.
If anyone bought a bronco because they could get it with 35 inch tires instead of 33 on the wrangler they were never going to buy a wrangler. I can walk into any dealership near me and buy a brand new jl with 35 inch tires and lift and warranty.
“...if Hot Wheels were to make this — which they absolutely should...”
I think in this situation, I’d ask for a discount but go for the demo. Certain cars are just made for it. As long as there’re no scratches or signs that the frame or unibody have been f’d before, it’s usually pretty gucci.
That suzuki looks like it fits right in with the retro street tracker trend.
