It’s funny, I subscribed to PS/PM when I was a kid and I get the exact same feeling reading David Tracy articles as I did back then. Only Popular Science could make a 12 year old understand the physics behind buckminsterfullerene and graphene.

Also, reading this article felt like reading Popular Science articles from the 90s-early 2000s, in that it felt appropriately scientific yet easily digestible.

Most aircraft still have physical controls in this era of touchscreens (even with MFDs) because it’s easier to understand switch positions by feel/touch alone, leaving you free to focus your sight on the outside picture.

First, I drink 5 beers. Not 4, not 6, 5 is the perfect amount. Then I use my time driving to catch up on social media. Sometimes I grab a slice of pizza, because it soaks the beer up nicely. It’s hard to eat pizza, drive with your knees and hold your phone, but I’m the best driver anyone has ever seen so it’s ok.

Well done! I know people are gonna see $3K and think its way too high, but the reality is that it would have cost a normal person twice that without your skills and experience.
