I might be the only American who says this but I would much prefer the short-wheelbase model.

I am baffled by almost all decisions VW made regarding this project...

That’s what looking at a bunch of bloated SUVs all day will do to your sense of taste.

What I see is the biggest reason why I don’t think AV5 will work in my lifetime.

Absolutely nobody bought a Nexo at or anywhere MSRP. The group I work for owns one. When we bought it, it involved a conversation with Hyundai corporate where we talked about how we will promote the car by sharing it between a large group of people. They made it pretty clear that they’re losing an absolute ton of

I am always going to NP a car that seems like a reasonable price for a good daily driver. I know the dude who hates German autos will bitch and the dude who loves them all, will wax rhapsodic. I just want dependable.

1. Carts left in the middle of the lot

My pet peeve is people who think they are in the parking lot Grand Prix. Slow the FUCK down, you morons, the ice cream in Publix will still be there if it takes you an extra minute to find a spot. Bad enough I can’t see past the two Canyoneros who have parked on either side of my normal height car.

Wayward carts, oblivious people, trash strewn about the lot, all peeves for sure, but the one that gets my goat is the inconsiderate, lazy jackweed that cannot see the lines painted on the pavement to park between, NOT OVER!

#1. People so lazy to put their shopping cart away, even when a corral is one car spot away.

Pull-throughs, especially when I am about to park in the space they want to use as a traffic lane.

- Cars that turn on the reverse lights (as parking lights?) after the car is turned off

- People that drive the wrong direction in a one-way aisle

- People that wait for spots when there are available spots further away

- People that drop off people in front of the store knowing that there are a bunch of cars behind them

Giant pickups with their rear wheels backed up to the curb, with eighteen inches of bodywork hanging over the pavement and a bonus knee-breaker hitch sticking out past that.

Pet peeve?  The people who leave a shopping cart in the blue ares of a handicapped parking space.  And the ones who leave the carts randomly in the paths someone in a wheelchair is supposed to use.

Parking lots with dedicated and clearly marked economy-car sized parking stalls, and the drivers of full-sized pickups or SUV’s who insist on parking in them, usually taking 2 spots to do so.

When you are halfway out of your parking spot...and a car tries to squeeze/pass/sneak around you.

The fact that a vast, vast majority of parking spaces are not sized to accommodate the bro-dozers that exist now. The pick-ups that are 1.5 the size of a normal sedan, and block 100% any view of crossing traffic when reversing. It’s almost like parking lots need to be divided into 2 areas; one area for normal cars and

If you ding or damage someone else’s vehicle and don’t leave a note, you’re a monster and I hope you experience chronic, florid jock itch.

Carts not being put back and people who don’t think turn signals can be of value in parking lots.

It’s gotten mentioned, but I’m harp on the point even more.
