Not successfully! That's like saying you're saving a guy from drowning except he's been dead for a year and a half and also is a moose.

The plot's one of the dumbest I've seen on screen in probably years, and that's including "Inferno." It's indefensible.

Don't worry, that's what 80% of the IMDB boards are/were about.

Yeah no. The plot is too stupid to be excusable, on more than one front.

I watched it with my sister and my brother-in-law over the holidays and it was a good time. I've been trying to convince more people to watch it since because there are a lot of things I want to talk about with other people, but it's a pretty hard sell ("it's like a weird fruity metaphysical thing about connection,

It's a little funny this is coming not super long after The OA, which deals in some (seemingly) similar subject matter and themes as well as a little of the tone. Not that I think they'll end up very much alike, but it's only in this era of endless TV that you could end up with one show like this, let alone two…

Not to mention when he scares her in a "cute" way and for a solid second she looks absolutely terrified.

they didn't have "archer," which makes it at least 10% better overall than america today

Liver makes a really good add-in to hamburgers or meat sauces. I used to buy it by the pound, purée it raw, and freeze it into an ice cube tray reserved for the purpose. A couple cubes added to a pot of tomato sauce and ground beef adds a lot of nutrition and some richness of flavor without tasting "liver-like" at all.

I get tongue sandwiches when I can—less often now than when I lived within a mile of a half-dozen kosher delis. I've had tongue tacos, but my association is always with corned beef tongue, maybe with a little mustard.

They are pretty similar to alligator, in that the overall vibe is "aquatic chicken thigh."

if I could erase one thing from pop culture it would be this awful fucking show

There are plenty of restaurants and bars.

maybe a control freak

Or do you know the outer limits episode music of the spheres? I kinda wish it had been that, with the spa really doing work to save people, but at the cost of their humanity/sanity or in the service of some ineffable force. Having the director's motives be completely evil and executed through completely evil means,

that defending speech you despise is a moral thing might be a lesson you were taught but that doesn't make it generally true
Helping literal nazis spread and advance their viewpoint and providing no counterpoint or even token resistance is collaboration

The plot? The director and the young girl are father and daughter (and also uncle/niece thanks to incest) each a couple hundred years old. Director is using quasimagical properties of the water and eels to make life extension tonic for him and the daughter (at the expense of the bodies of the spa patients) to get her

You'll never find them! There's no proof!

SPOILERS
the plot is really dumb and I've had a lot of fun imagining better ones to graft on to the movie

That's basically my motivation—I put on something Hallmark, or The Waltons, or whatever (Daniel Boone, Matlock, and Little House on the Prairie are all in rotation) because it's frankly awkward to wipe someone else's butt in complete silence. I would actually love for a racier version of the channel (I spent - few
