Women are expected by many people to be “trailing spouses” and accompany their husbands and be dutiful wives. Some women internalize this. Male spouses of powerful women probably do not internalize this. So, yeah, Merkel and May’s baes didn’t show.

Yeah, his handlers are claiming his gaffes are because of “fatigue”....after he spent the runup to the election accusing Hillary of being physically ill and not having the stamina for the presidency. Yet another hypocracy.
