Maybe you could call me an expert on long filesystem paths - I’m the developer of a fork of WinDirStat (altWinDirStat) that much faster and (more importantly) can handle paths longer than 260 chars (MAX_PATH) - this will cause crashes in many many many applications because they’re written to (wrongly) assume MAX_PATH…

It's also worth noting, that despite China's size, most of their land is, uh, lets say unsuitable for agriculture and residence. Either it ends up being mountainous, or very VERY dry due to being landlocked behind so many mountains.
