@logikil: Those glasses specifically are polarized, like the LCDs in your watch. In fact, if you look at your watch while wearing 3D theatrical movie glasses, in one eye it will be completely black.

@ryoshi: There are non-glasses 3Dtvs that use a variant on a fresnel lens to divert alternating scan lines to one eye or the other. You have to be standing in very specific spots for it to work, but it works.

@OCEntertainment: I'm a little torn (and completely new to VoIP), so someone help me out on this....would I be limited to who I would be allowed to call on a VoIP service?

@ghost4: Random criticals are there to add chance to the game, though are still heavily skill based. Death cameras and post-defeat killfest add human interest and weight to victory or defeat. Spies being unable to move through enemies while disguised is an intended way of detecting spies.

I'm kind of surprised that streaming hasn't eaten Netflix's margins completely away. This past month my girlfriend and I have spent 8$ or so to stream about 16 DVD's worth of content. Are their margins on streaming distributed on a per-play, or per-user basis?

@Rirath: 360's streaming has impressed me as well. There were a few hiccups at launch, but since then any time Netflix has a problem I know that my network has a problem. When it launched I only gave streaming Netflix a try as a novelty. Now, it's the main bulk of TV watching for me.

@y2julio: 30FPS means they can do twice as much every frame, which directly translates into a better looking game. #ratchetclank

According to the article, the Wii wasn't just given to the court as punishment, but was put up as a form of bail. If the kid doesn't show for his court appointments, *then* he loses the wii. #wii

@seishino: Oh, and use a hair-dryer on the inside of the bed before getting inside. #heating

Open and close doors in the apartment so that there is a direct line between any heat sources and the bedroom. Unused rooms stay closed to form temperature buffers.

@ManekiNeko: More than had. Note that they're decrying the possibility that Google might block "access to applications that compete with its own email, text messaging, ...and other services". Also note that AT&T & Apple explicitly forbid iPhone applications that compete with their own email, text messaging, and

It would be good if there was a simple way to share multiple google calendars with a single link as a single calendar. My schedule is an amalgamation of various schedules and calendars, and if I want another person to know what I'm doing, there needs to be something like 4 calendars shared.

@Andrew: Agreed. Ping Pong Balls are actually a great light show to throw on campfires. If you have any doubt about the head output of your string of household lights, DON'T ATTACH PINGPONG BALLS.

@Scott D. Feldstein: Do any of the commenters out there know how to see how much data they've used? Does AT&T keep a little gauge somewhere on their website that you can view?

Hmm... iPhone tethering was working just fine over AT&T before they disabled it. It sounds like they're just not ready to charge for it yet.

@GitEmSteveDave_IsWaving: If you're away from supplies and this is happening, try quickly plugging and unplugging headphones a dozen times or so. It seems to help reset the contacts.

@Jake712: I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that most of the HR departments I've interacted with have been completely terrible at hiring for technical positions. You really want your employees vetted by people who know what they're talking about, and only similarly trained technical professionals will know

Maybe this "next generation" was actually the viability of indie games and the spread of XBLA, steam, and other outlets for more idea-based titles?

@Prayer Police: I had been wondering if this signaled a change of overall art style. Hopefully they've found a way to integrate the liney look more into gameplay, rather than just having it as an occasional accent. Perhaps the line-based effects would allow more background through, therefore being more broadly

@thaKingRocka: Releasing worldwide requires instruction manual localization, warehousing, salespeople, promotion, and music licensing. Your inventory is cut into small divisions and distributed to places around the world. Releasing in different territories is a lot more expensive than just translating the menus,
