It occurs to me that this author could have chosen to write a film review instead of this article, but didn’t. Maybe the gender imbalance is because women who could be film critics are too busy writing think-pieces about why there aren’t enough female film critics?

So where are the legions of frustrated female wanna-be film critics?

I don’t know why you singled out WHITE women, but make no mention of the fact that these men are almost exclusively white MEN. The article omits people of color, and then you do, too.. what’s up with that?
