Remember though, this is America, where even our presidential candidates have to ‘dumb down’ their speech styles so people think they’re ‘folks’.

Not all microtransactions are loot boxes. If you spend money KNOWING you will get a thing, it’s just a transaction. If you spend money HOPING you will get a thing, that’s a loot box. The gambling part is the problem.

Have you not heard about his ‘pedo guy’ antics? That was enough for me

Grouping with a low rank player in order to win their games for them and thus 'boost' their rank artificially. Often for money.

I don’t have blind belief in the story. Nor do I have blind rejection of the story. I see a story that might be true, and might not, but is interesting either way.

your assumptions say a lot about you as a person

I sympathize and agree with the problems here, but honestly, there’s just no State-sponsored way to ban this. Disallowing a legislative ban on this is the literal exact reason the First Amendment exists. If Joe Whatshisface wants to pay to broadcast a political message, Facebook can stop him, but the *government*

Looking into Netflix’s culture closer, I find that they run the place like a professional sports team. In the context of “corporate America,” it seems unnecessarily brutal. But when a linebacker is cut for not being the best-of-the-best, nobody bats an eye.

We did it you guys! So far, we managed to have a post about a speed running record with NO comments saying “I don’t get it, why does anyone care” or “imagine if they spent their time on something useful” or some other asinine bullshit!

Anecdotal, I know - but I’m in the .000000001. Parking brake failed and my car slowly rolled into the middle of my office parking lot. I park it in gear now :)

It happened to me! Parking brake went out, car just rolled into the middle of my work parking lot. I... park it in gear now.

One day my parking brake went out and I didn’t know that. I was at work, parked in the lot on a very gradual incline. Later that day the front desk called me to say that my car was just.... rolling away. I was so, SO lucky it didn’t pick up enough speed to hit anything hard! I’ve always parked in gear since then.

A big difference is, Slack is usually about work, not fun. It’s the primary method of digital communication in lots of software companies.

Slack has over six million daily unique users, on a global platform. It’s huge in the software/technology space. Just because you don’t use it doesn’t mean it’s small. Why would you assume it was?

Have you thought that it might be the other way around? The right seems to have abandoned the values that appeal to the audience of tech blogs. Tech people are into science, and the right is focused on denying science. Tech people are into education, and the right is trying to reduce investment in education. Tech

I love, love, LOVE my proximity key (it’s not a remote starter - just a key that unlocks the door and allows the car to start when it’s inside). I keep it in my briefcase. Since having a car with a proximity key, I have never a) forgotten my laptop at home on my way to work, b) had to fish around in pockets in the

Edit - oops read your question wrong. My bad

Yeah I’m very confused at the ‘outrage’ here. Delete Facebook because your public profile is viewable by the public? I don’t get it.
