It can, but I’d imagine that thinking about taking a pay cut from what amounts to 100k US a week is a powerful incentive to stay put. I mean, if someone told me they didn’t want me to do my job anymore, but they still had to pay me 1.2 million a year for the next 3 1/2 years, I’d probably find a way to subsume my ego.
