Yeah, universal health care folks on the left have become stuck on the Canadian model as the only one for universal health care. But there’s tons of variation, and it’s not even the best universal health care system.

I am so glad to be so fucking old as to have had no fucking idea what an “influencer” is or does. Now that I kind of know, I am almost ready to slit my wrists.

Oh, they’re totally avoidable, even here in the vortex of it all. In fact, I live equal distance between the two highest profile soul cycles (Beverly Hills and the West Hollywood mothership), yet have never had any interest whatsoever.

One more thing - our daughter, born in China, has always said she’s going to get “Made in China” tattooed on her lower back eventually.  Kind of clever, I think.

I’ve taken a different route than Anne.  I’ve avoided having children, so I don’t have to worry about parenting while hungover.  As an added bonus, I have more cash so I can buy the expensive stuff.

I’m excited to evaluate all of the candidates, pick my favorite and work to get them nominated. And if my candidate fails I look forward to FALLING THE FUCK IN LINE.

I remember old interviews with him and he really did seem like the nicest guy. I think he’s still that guy, but he’s both more stage-managed now and he also wants to make his faith more public. Don’t know if this helps at all but I understand that most Danish casual social life revolves around interest-groups (they have a saying like “1 Dane is alone, 2 Danes is an Association”) along with a lot of casual dinner parties. And I think they just don’t do small talk.

I’m sorry you’re struggling. I felt the same way after moving to Spain for 6 months. They said to give it a year to find your balance, routine, and to begin forming new relationships. I was too homesick and came back. If i were t ok do it again, i would have stayed. 

Most of the expats I know took around two years to get settled and start making strides towards fulfillment in their new home.
