Me too. Every now and then I re-watch it, and it really holds up! Bonus, the best opening credits sequence EVER.

“All the same, restricting clientele to only the most conventional body types is deplorable and should be remedied posthaste.”
That’s good to know. It upsets me so much when I see people on tv/in movies wearing shoes in the house.
My mom died last week. She was a horrible person. As her daughter I am required to do things. I am frustrated because to the rest of my family I am ungrateful and they cannot believe I did not want to stay by her side to watch her die. They did not stay by my side to watch the physical, mental, and emotional abuse she…
Many of the world’s great art treasures are clustered in the museums – the Guggenheim, MoMA, and the Met in NYC and the Getty in Malibu, plus many important works scattered through Chicagoland, the Northeast, and San Francisco – in the U.S.
Can you actually be proud of something over which you had no control? I was born here, but not by choice, so what should I be proud of?
I agree and I also don’t like the word proud. I love America (I’m an American without citizenship). But I think one can love one’s country without having to always think excessively highly of it.
1) Yes you can try and vote, but with the supreme court getting rid of key part of voting right act that has made it harder, also with strict ID laws and gerrymandering.
And just how are “we” trying to better ourselves? You act as though the average joe has a say in what goes down here. We are controlled by a select group of mostly white, mostly male millionaires who have no conception of what it’s like for regular people.
As an American, I ask myself “how do we manage to run our society like this?” about a lot of things.
I’m not American. Probably a lot of your readers aren’t either. If you wanted to make this an open discussion that would’ve included a lot more of your readers, the question could’ve been phrased: What do you like about America?
How about you not be a dick?
Says the person who has no chill.
Uhm, hey. Reader who “doesn’t comment” here. The complete rejection of dissent exhibited by Jezebel writers on this thread has lost it at least one faithful reader and ally. I know you don’t care (afterall, I’m just an “internet rando”), but I betchya will when your bosses finally find a writer who’s capable of…
Perfect timing, and perfect example of the thin-skinned nature that Jez writers seem to have for whatever reason. There’s never any civil discussion with commentors who have legitimate issues with the writing. They just shut it down with snark and insults. It’s really lovely.
It was never a feminist site, not even when Anna Holmes was still here. And you must not have been here between 2009-2012 when the snark and banning of commenters who sneezed wrong at the writers was more prevalent. Tracie Egan Morrissey was notorious for that.
It used to be a feminist site, with no body snarking allowed. And the authors used to engage in discussions. But not these two princesses.
You are an asshole. Your behavior toward your readers is consistently shitty, and you come across as a huge jerk. This site would be much better without your ‘contribution’.
