I wasn’t interested at all before but the positive reviews I’ve been reading everywhere are making me reconsider. The trailers look kinda bland and dark and the gameplay reminiscent of Second Sight or Psi-Ops.

I’ve noticed that distance and time aren’t really logical in terms of meeting up with people. It’s more to do with culture, people and work.
I meet up with a friend once or twice a month and going into the city is 40-50 minutes by train for me. That’s normal. Just doing anything is at least a 30 min ride really. But

Man, I was interested in that game, but “The way glyphs and morphemes are combined in the fictional language tells you how the ancient people thought.” kinda sells me on it.
It’s on PS4 too so I’ve put it on my wishlist. Doing a good job of going through my backlog these days, so when that’s dwindled down, I can check

Second game I played (or first really, it was two weeks ago): The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit.

Detroit: Become Human
I had fun playing through this game and it looks great with some stellar music themes. Cheering and regretting choices or failed quick-time events at times, the minute-to-minute experience was addictive. It’s the aftermath, when you let it sink in and think deeper, the game turns out to be quite

Phogs reminds me of Push Me Pull You, that weird partygame where you also played as two-headed people and dogs even.

Yeah, that’s what I learned from wiki as well, that it’s a subset of dragonflies, pretty big ones in it,...

Do they generally use yanma in daily life? I’ve only ever heard tonbo (トンボ) and had to look up yanma. Just wondering if yanma is maybe used in some other part of Japan or for a specific kind of dragonfly?
My knowledge of Japanese and fauna only goes so far so some further insight would be appreciated.

Yeah, with Rime you know “something” is coming but it feels seeded enough throughout so that the reveal doesn’t feel unfair or out of nowhere. They worked towards it, in signaling and putting it in gameplay itself.

That was a blast to read.

This review reminds me a lot of playing through Bound:
“in part because you wouldn’t be pulled out of the game every time it wants to say something profound. “
=> every level ended there with a flash back you had to fill in yourself to get 3D snapshot of some traumatic event

That’s probably better than I do. With friends, I can get one a session but solo, I’m not good enough to make a difference for the victory. You’ll shoot up through Bronze and Silver then. Gold goes slower but still very doable to climb through.

Still mostly Apex Legends. It plays so smooth and Ranked Mode is turning out to be a fun challenge. Gold 3 right now, slowly inching up. Definitely not Diamond material but who knows, maybe Platinum isn’t impossible. People that still play Apex, how are your Ranked experiences?

That’s a shame. All the reviews gave me the impression the puzzles were much better and much more the focus than the action.

I really enjoyed Rise of the Tomb Raider though and I was looking forward to picking up Shadow as I heard it focused much more on tombs and puzzles than combat. I get the impression from above that there is still a lot of combat in the game. More or less than Rise? (which was too much for me)

To continue the Church-thread, I also have something similar with my friends. Me living in a different timezone (7-8 hours difference) makes regular gaming sessions very difficult. So we have a chat group for the express purpose of seeing who’s online and an informal standing agreement that Sunday-evening for me,

Bit late of a response but RIME is well worth it. The story is very light but it’s a generally enjoyable and relaxing platformer with intriguing story element and world building.

I've been having a blast with Injustice 2. It's as close as I've come to smashing action figures together with the big and important difference that I also dress them up and mix and match different outfits, just like I did in real life with my decors and figures. The character designs are also very good, even better

I totally meant that as a joke, as right below that sentence I say that I just bought a game half-price myself. In fact, I pretty buy all my games during sales and while I do have a backlog, I’m working on it.
