I face the same problem with board games. I can corral some co-workers who are into it for a session of Scythe once every two months but my close group of friends aren’t so keen on it. Or should I say, one isn’t and because we always do everyone together (it would be pretty cruel not to invite him so we can play board

Late but I had to chip in and give you a proper Congratulations! Wish you and your family all the best.

My memory is failing me. What was that rhythm game towards the end of RDR2?

Yeah, I just unlocked the spider bomb and the electric spider thing. Those do a great job of making it easier to tackle a crowd.

Yeah, I guess coming off of Prey and even God of War with its much more deliberate, heavy movement, gave me some whiplash. Spider-Man is fun to control (I kind of wanted a double jump though) so it’s not bad, just need to get used to it.

Found Spider-Man for a steal (my first physical copy in 2 years), so I’ve been playing that this week. How good is that music! Maybe because I’d seen the videos before, I knew what to expect but the music has been the best surprise. Rousing and dramatic, it reminds me of the movies in a good way and reminds me of

Fair enough. It will never be in a top 10 list for me but I remember it fondly. There are certainly not a lot of hard puzzles but poking at the different objects, listening in and hiding out, did make me feel like a sleuth (admittedly, one with a huge advantage in the time-rewind department).

Nice round-up of all the stories in Edith Finch. After reading about the bug in Walter’s story, I finally understand why the ending felt so anti-climactic there. The whole build-up was incredibly but I also didn’t see anything after getting in the tunnel. Gonna look that up later too.

The list above reminded me of The Sexy Brutale which always deserves a shout-out. While somewhat half-baked itself, the game has plenty of charm and is just the right length to leave a great impression.

Finished Nier: Automata two weeks ago and the ending lingered for a couple more days after, always a compliment. MAJOR SPOILERS While Route C was a lot zippier and dynamic than A and B, I still didn’t get it. A2 as a character is done well but her whole turn-around felt a bit rushed. I did appreciate Route B’s story

I’ve never played an Elder Scrolls game but after that recommendation, I read through the thing and it was really good. Well-written and just a fascinating glimpse into a game’s production. Lots of glorifying the “scrappy, make-do, improvisational nature of an underdog” but balanced enough to come across as genuine

I didn’t know myself until I read about it so I don’t feel it’s too big of a spoiler. Still, sorry if you’re spoiler-averse in general. In that case, don’t read further.
After you kill all the commanders, a new location/level appears on the map near the Riverside if I remember correctly. Don’t look up what that level

I didn’t know myself until I read about it so I don’t feel it’s too big of a spoiler. After you kill all the commanders, a new location/level appears on the map near the Riverside if I remember correctly. Don’t look up what that level is, going in dark is an added value here.

I haven’t played any Metroid Prime games but I have played similar ones. As I understand it, there’s usually only one way to open/unlock the previously inaccessible area. A fun and satisfying experience in itself but different from the multi-path options you have in a game like Dishonored or Prey.

I did the same when playing NC, just going through all the levels again for collectibles and killing those commanders. (that secret level is a trip!)
Dunno if I ever got all the collectibles. I got burned out when I started playing the DLC. Still need to play them all.

Wow, I loved New Order, Old Blood and New Colossus (little less though), love Carpenter Brut (thank you, Hotline Miami) and I love the Dishonored games/Prey so this just went up to immediate buy for me. Damn.

Pure distillation, that name is. It’s the best part of the game. I guess there are those The Room smartphone games but that’s about getting OUT of a room.

Same, I also bought that $5 pack for the same reason. Great game, I want to support it. I also think S2 will be a lot better and that it will bring challenges/conditions. I’m just afraid they’ll be too skill based like the badges are.

They’re so versatile! Not only do they do big damage, they can be used to remove obstacles from your path. And of course, the obvious use of making materials.
Talking about versatile, I didn’t even mention the Gloo Gun and how I use it to scale walls, block doors, trap enemies,... Such a nifty weapon, more games

Love the visual above the article, William. It worked on me, drawing my eye from left to right.
