There’s already a comic that kinda does this but with more of an emphasis on the tragedy and action rather than horror. It’s called We3 by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely and it’s beautiful.

Ah yeah, those Yorha betrayers are annoying. I first looked around Engels and couldn’t find them. Turns out, there’s three areas you have to visit and they first appear at one of them. (I think the rooftop where the game starts) and then you encounter them one more time under the bridge leading to the Abandoned…
That moment was a bit “wtf...” but nothing I haven’t seen before in terms of anime weirdness. I actually found the scene before that where all the robots are imitating human behavior (“milk! milk!”, simulating sex,...) to be far weirder and cooler.
The moment that got me on board, or I’ll say, convinced me to hang on,…
I supported the Kickstarter of a game called Lost Ember. You’ll be able to play as different animals, eat and burrow and fly...
It looks amazing, hopefully it comes out soon.
Baba Is You sounds fascinating and the kind of conceptual puzzle-concept that’s pure but can be stretched far. Like The Witness but with words?
After a week away with long hours, I ended up coming down with a sore throat (trudging through the rain at night will do that). So I extended my day off with a sick day on Tuesday as well. That gave me plenty of time to dive into Nier: Automata and dive I did. I completed Route B and did a bunch of sidequests. Was at…
Haha, good call. I even imagine him slouched, looking back over his shoulder. Everytime I run past him, I think he’s smoking too but that might be me projecting too much.
Maybe cause I’m currently playing through Nier: Automata, but mentioning Machine on a Break I immediately see him standing there facing the corner, just wanting to catch a few minutes of quiet. So good. :D
Great article, I wrote a small report on cannabis and other narcotics in Japan in university but this added way more cultural context. Very interesting to read.
I think I mixed a Diamond with a regular and got the same storage amount as the original diamond. Or am I mistaken? If not, is that not good?
I just mix everything mixable together, I’ll be honest, I’ve not paid that much attention to it.
Good point. It’s similar to how aiming in Fortnite or Apex is hindered because I can’t jump and aim at the same time. Annoying but I can’t get used to putting the jump-button on R3.
Sounds like a great experience. Thanks for that take on it. Exploration being rewarded is always one of the most satisfying game elements to me.
I’m neatly 30 hours in and just started Route C. I have Route A, B and G done. Haven’t looked into all the joke endings much but I’m pretty sure how to get one other, after realizing the joke endings don’t come from branching at the end but can happen anywhere in the game.
I found A to be a bit boring and B had me…
Yeah, the chips thing took me some time. It wasn’t until I found some good ones and started fusing, that I noticed the effects they had. Especially the Deadly Heal, Shockwave,... And then there are chips that make the play experience so much nicer like the Auto Pickup (for items).
The big game I finished before this…
Just had to come back and second the other commenter’s opinion:
Interesting. I can see how much better M+KB is for FPS, RTS, point & click,... but never occurred to me that people might prefer it for platformers. Guess it’s good never to assume ey.
Schoenaerts plays the character as a man constantly on the verge of eruption; as such, his silences and blank expressions have the effect of a bare wall, imperceptibly trembling from the force of whatever’s wailing away at its other side.
Haha, that does look pretty fun. If I can play it with my SO, this might be a great one for our weekend co-op mornings.
Man, I’ve got a Deadly Heal +4 (black thingie) that makes it only take up 9 slots. Seeing as mobs are the general enemy, I almost never have to leave manually. Bosses are more of a challenge. I got the “return x% of damage as health” chip too.
Biggest shock during my Route B? The shockwave plug gets really good at +4,…
Sounds pretty good. Is it also relaxing? Because in my head, I’ve made it up to be this peaceful, open empty space I can glide through.
I also have never played a Zelda game so I don’t know what to expect.
