I have replied on other sites, but I have a 5th Gen Explorer and will likely be buying the Timberline. I think it looks great, the electronic LSD seems to have some decent chops and a 1" mild lift with decent sized AT tires will be perfectly fine for the 1/2 dozen times I go into Adirondack trails a year. I drive

Thinking about the circumstances that led to these abandoned cars is quite sad. Could be the owners traveled alone and died at their destination with no next of kin to be found.

Not going to win a beauty contest, but should be very capable on a trail.

A modified Isuzu Vehicross is a very underrated off-roader

The DeLorean DMC-12, primarily for the innovation in offering a production car with stainless steel body panels. Rust proof body panels would be attractive to so many, but the weight and production tools required to produce on a mass scale would not be feasible for most manufacturers.

Must be a regional dialect.

Oof, you are inviting ire with the 585 and 716 contingent by referring to them as “Upstate.” My wife is from the 585 area code and folks there will firmly state they are “Western NY” and not “Upstate NY.”

Agreed - went to college in NYC but hail from true Upstate (518).

As an Upstate NY native, I am curious to what region he is referring to.

Chevy Impala - 6th Generation to the now-beloved 7th Generation.

When you absolutely have to get every last piece of mulch from the bed of your truck and you forgot your broom.

As an American F1 fan for over 15 years, no. To me, so much of what enhances a Grand Prix is the commentary from Crofty and co - learning about the strategy and the rationale behind the driver’s actions. Dumbing that down or overdramatizing the race with commentators without a history in the sport would get old, very

Amen brother/sister.

My wife and I are still driving our 2014 Ford Explorer XLT with 208,000 miles on the odo. It is our only vehicle. We are fortunate in that our car has been paid off years ago and have the means to buy a new one outright.

I am old enough to remember (like Pepperidge Farm) how it was sacrilege to compare the first iteration of the V-Series Cadillacs to the M3 and M5.

Indeed - they are some of the highest paid because of the difficulty and multitude of challenges, hence, one of the hardest jobs in driving.

My father-in-law was a car hauler for nearly 20 years. I would argue that is one of the most challenging road transport driving jobs as you are dealing with high-value cargo (brand-new vehicles) all exposed and not enclosed.

Thank you - this is extremely helpful. I would always stop - put it in park - then apply the parking brake. Will be doing the stop - neutral - parking brake - then park sequence from now on!

This is a very helpful explanation, thank you.

I have heard that engaging the parking brake when parking on declines or inclines reduces the “stress” on the transmission, but I don’t know if any research has proven this to be correct.
