Beautiful!

My wife and I live in NYC but she grew up on a dairy farm in Western NY. Some of her family are still actively farming. The technological innovation in modern farm equipment is mind boggling. Farmers already have to be brilliant (acting as Veterinarians, Engineers, Botanists, Meteorologists - among many other roles)

That really is the important question to ask. How are financing vehicles even allowing options for lending on something so much over MSRP? Similar to the housing market, offer prices are frequently going well over list, but buyers still need to have that house appraised for the same amount - or close to - their offer

Indeed, my father and uncle specifically. My uncle was a GM mechanic and invited me to visit him as he looked after his friend’s classic car business. In the warehouse, a sinister black ‘55 Bel-Air Sedan sat among the sea of late 60s muscle - I instantly fell in love. I was 15 and made it a goal I would have a ‘55 -

Gen III CTS-V

Agree with the Horner sentiment. In the post-race, I would have loved to have somebody ask Horner what he thinks the penalty should have been.

If truthful, the revelation from Mercedes that Lewis would have retired sans the red flag is extremely important.

I have a personal account. When I was a kid, my father was excited to get a CA vanity plate for his ‘89 Chevy Caprice.

5th Gen Explorer PTU servicing - or inability to make it a serviceable part.

*Me furiously backspacing my draft comment of tire cradles, filling the tank to the brim with non-ethanol, steel wool in the exhaust, desiccant packs*

Exactly - people seem to forget - or not know - that Ralph Gilles is the head of SRT at Stellantis and is widely recognized as one of the best designers of his generation. You can fault Chrysler / Dodge / FIAT Stellantis for many things but design is not one of them.

I know these QOTD are fun and in jest, but that absurd LS1 take of being unreliable is borderline irresponsible.

I don’t see underrated and outdated as mutually exclusive. The current Lexus GX 460 is still underrated (serene on-road driving performance and excellent off-road capability) but very antiquated.

2021 Chrysler 300s.

Cord - one of my personal American favorites.

That is good point about the additional accessories/electrical/safety features and weight negating the extra horsepower of today’s minivan. That early 90s caravan is a full 1K lbs. lighter than today’s Sienna.

That is a great article and fantastic last line.

To me, it was when the standard minivan and light duty pickup left the factory with nearly 300 and 400 hp respectively.

To non F1 fans, tenths of a second may seem infinitesimal, but in a one-stop race strategy, it often means the difference of staying in front of 2nd for those in the lead or staying in front of fourth for drivers fighting for a podium.

‘82 Lotus Esprit for the win.
