I am mad that this unicorn is no longer available:

I know I am in the minority apparently, but I think the final design is the best option. They ditched the acres of mesh grill from the current Silverado and kept the front fascia pretty clean- a la the new Bronco - and threw in a cool homage to the Avalanche for the rear.

That grill looks like somebody decided to hastily wrap the front in stainless steel gutter screens.

Yes!  Like Scotland But Further was my all time favorite.

91 Isuzu Impulse RS. Just a fun cool car I miss a lot:

Upstate and Western NY really pulls up the average for New York State. Grew up in the Albany area, lived in NYC for 20 years, now relocated to Western NY. Drivers north of Westchester County are very proficient. They know the rules of the road, give you a wide berth when cycling or running on the shoulder and are

I get the desire for a 4-Runner, but as someone also living in Western NY that frequently travels to the Adirondacks, there are very few trails that can’t be accessed by a Crosstrek with Blizzaks.  Hell, I can get to just about everywhere with my ‘14 Explorer XLT with all-seasons.

Mentioned in the comments but bears repeating/shouting: Please give Braunability / Ramp equipped vans space when you park to allow for proper ramp clearance AND safe entry for the person on the ramp. It is the length of the ramp + additional space for the wheelchair occupant to enter the ramp.

Overspend on a car that is likely to appreciate dramatically?

Wow, that is the truth.  Nearly 10 years ago, I bought my ‘55 Chevy at 29 years old.  Took it to a few shows to meet people, get ideas for projects and the like and I was the youngest guy there by easily 30 years.

This might be one of my favorite Jalopnik posts of all time.

Please tell me you didn’t have to tow that Discovery more than 1000 feet with that Cherokee.  That seems.....unsafe.

The flare on that bed looks like a regular truck bed that had an allergic reaction to a bee sting.

This is a very underrated point. I grew up in Upstate NY, met my wife in college in NYC and have lived there for the past 20 years. We spend a portion of our time in Western NY in her home town after buying a house there nearly 10 years ago.

I love Tracy’s passion and will click on every story, but if I were a neighbor without context of his job, I would be less than enthused. Let’s just say those Arborvitae next to the Wagoneer are doing the Lord’s work.

As a Western NY’er - I could not agree more with that statement.

I want this description on a poster to hang in my garage - perfection.

The Southwest, with the Northwest as a close #2. It’s not for the halo cars, or the “culture”, but for the sheer fact that you can see a pristine square body Chevy idling at the stoplight, an ‘86 Accord LX at the grocery store, a ‘94 Mazda MX-6 chillin at In-N-Out - beautiful specimens of standard cars just preserved

That last statement might be one of the best lines I have ever read on a Jalopnik comment.

I like the way you think!
