It is hard to put a price on having fun with family and friends, but as a classic car owner, my list of items I would not want to inherit under the guise of endless fun and stress-free leisure would be:

I’m just surprised that scrolling through the comments, I have not come across someone quoting “The two best days of a boat owner’s life.....”

A good option not on this list would be the Cadillac XTS.  A quick glance shows that a fairly low mileage 2019 XTS (Luxury) trim can be had for mid-20s.  FWD only, but that only means less maintenance than an AWD.  Get a long-term warranty, drive it for years and enjoy eating up the highway miles.

Yeah, the trailer had “Rodgers” on the side, right?

Amen to that - with that approach you could likely do it for an all in under $10k.  Certainly if you can do the work yourself.

Exactly - if there is anything you can’t find OEM,  you can order through a few clicks of the mouse on Ecklers or another equivalent.   Also, there are a number of large Ford Falcon groups and forums where folks are bound to have the harder-to-find OEM items.

Desirable mid-60s American iron? Clean metal, plethora of aftermarket and OEM parts available? All for under $3Gs? Nice price all the way.

Had a company install a commercial-grade epoxy floor and it made a world of difference from my pitted concrete. Easy to clean, looks good and very durable. Also, I had room in a loft so I had it converted to a home office.

I love how this is shot like a surrealist Twilight Zone episode...just brilliantly done.

This is poetry.

Love this episode - would have been very funny and on brand for Gerry to be waving a circa early 2000s flip-phone in the Lil Sebastian tribute.

Well, he certainly didn’t miss anyone.

I really miss the content of Peter Monshizadeh.  His detailed restorations and thorough explanations drew me in - always left the article feeling like I knew so much more than going in.

I’m talking to you.

Damn, SNL needs to give a blank check to Abby Elliott and have her come in on a regular basis and lampoon this idiot.

If you wanted to stretch the budget, you can stay in the V family and pick up a lightly used ‘16 CTS-V:

NP.  Looks to be clean metal, extremely desirable, stout engine - if the underside is as remotely clean as that firewall, this is a great price.  Spend a couple grand to sort out the various bushings, seals, suspension components and you have a really fun driver.

This is a NP.

How does this article not mention the Holden Commodore that became the criminally underrated Chevy SS here in the states?

What is frustrating to me as a Cadillac fan is that they actually pulled off the most difficult act - designing and delivering on a world class chassis and driving experience in the V-Sport and V-series - CTS, specifically.
