My answer, for the foreseeable future, is my old Honda S2000. I’d love any first gen (ap1 to the fanboyS) S2000 right now, but if I ever get the chance to buy back my old 2004 Suzuka Blue example, I’m game*. Her name is Roxanne.

Lovely article, but the 928 has one thing going for it that the current 911 doesn’t; front-mid engine. The 928, when driven hard, raises its nose and throws you down the road as it squats on the rear wheels. 911s are a TON of fun, but can’t fully replicate the way a well-sorted 928 hauls itself up to speed.
